right now I am running a hex tank which for me has been fine to my learning and setting up so was wondering if anyone has a 40-150 gallon tank that they are willing to give away to me and here is the deal, If I get a free tank bow front or rectangle I will donate the 40 gallon tall hex to my sons school and teach someone there to do the day to day maintenance and will also go into the school once a week to balance and ensure its running to top notch, also I do have trades non reef related willing to trade for a tank. the hex has served is purpose for me and not ready to and need a tank I can be a little more open with so this hex if I come across a donation of a new tank for me will go to my kids elementary school and if they don't want it will find and local school who does and will continue to help the school keep this up for the kids and there science.

anyone all Im looking for is a base tank bow front cube or rectangle that is 40+ stand and canape would be nice but not necessary not looking for any filtration just the tank itself. would love to step this up to 60-80+ let me know and if we might have some similar hobbies not just this I will throw in something to sweeten the deal, Even if it is a an old 55 or bigger sump that can be converted back into a tank let me know, I worked it out with the school already on the one I have an they want it so seeing what I can do, or will trade this one for another and work out a smaller tank for the school

that's cool Yeah if I don't get one donated I'm looking at picking up a new tank this weekend and will be setting up the schools tank here in about two weeks or so anyone willing to donate pieces for it I will make a day of driving to pick up the pieces for the tank. thank you Tony and if anyone else would like to donate let me know I will setup a drive to pick up any pieces donated to the tank and post pics up of the school tank when its up. I am doing this for my sons school as he loves the reefs here at home and wants to show his friends so I figure what better way. the school has agreed to give me an area and are gonna put up a barrier of some sort so that the kids can get close enough to see but not touch the tank.

I'll donate some money to feed the homeless if somebody hooks me up with some badass LE coral! Come on people, do it for charity!

Ok well this thread seams to be done except for anyone who wants to donate pieces for the elementary school tank, I have worked out a deal where I am trading a full home-brew 5gal setup with everything kettle, chiller, keg, co2 bottle, carboy(ferment-er), burner and everything needed to brew your own 5gallons of beer for a 90 gallon bare setup with stand and canopy, a good deal for me as it gets me the tank I need to continue the hobby and give me the floor room in the tank to properly aqua scape it and get my corals going they way I want, I will start a new thread called school tank that will have pictures descriptions and everything about my 40 gallon hex im taking down that will be going to my sons school, A janitor there has experience with reef tanks and will do the day to day and I will come by once a week to ensure its being done and that its running properly. I will post pics of the kids and tank when I get it up still trying to find out if it will go in a classroom cafeteria or library. let you all know as we go but will be a few weeks before the school tank is up

Technically you are buying the LE coral if you say that. In this case I guess the one that gives you the LE coral is doing the donation.

Donation is kind of like giving without expecting anything in return :)
