What Do You Want To See More of on SCR?

I guess being unemployed and being on the computer more often than not doesn't help, but SCR has been a tad boring these past few months. There's no lack of for sale threads or some drama, that's for sure, but at times very few content or relevant threads. Here's what I'd like to see more of on SCR:

As for me, I'd love to see more fish discussion. I've had a habit of acquiring hard to keep fish lately and would love to learn other people's experiences with them. I also love discussing equipment and following on tank builds.

So I ask you, what would you like to see more of on SCR?

I like the fish discussion especially your journals about the regal and idol. Personally I would like to see more discussions about zoas and sps. Maybe people can share there successes like flow, lighting, dosing ect. Maybe even spotlight on certain corals like shortcakes or stratospheres for example.

I would like to see more SCR tank spotlights on the front page. RacinJason has a new bigger tank, how about a new spotlight? I also think 5 pages of bs banter from the problem children can be a big waste of time

okay for me i know im like an air head with computer skills but i still cant figure out how to upload pictures from my cell phone i have the s4..maybe a step by step on how to upload pictures like a cut and paste and please be nice and have patcience with me ...im old lol...just more user friendly

I like to see more sponsor contest, TOTM contest on a "monthly" basis and to top it off have a TOTY with the 12 TOTM winner with a final spotlight..

Fts from people I use to love seeing all the tanks people would post. Even if they were just getting started because it helps with your own tank even if you take little bit of info from all the tanks.
More competition is fun!! Make contest that are cool don't have to give big prizes **** just for title it would be nice to compete

Yeah, a tank of the month would be nice, but it would be highly dependent on Mike and I think he's really busy. My main desire for SCR is content, which is something we can all contribute with very little effort. The contests and giveaways are nice, but they require financial resources. Coral and fish talk don't cost a dime, so that's what I was trying to get feedback on....topics/things you want to read about and talk about.

more photo contest, and there should be a non SLR contest too... since people really can't compete against people with DSLR's and macro lenses... grow out contest take way too long... even if it's for bragging rights, and no prize, there should be more interaction with stuff like that... most par, most polyps on a 1" frag tile, tallest acro branch, ugliest coral, silliest fish... i dunno...

i just want to vote for stuff... LOL... don't care about the actual reef threads since i don't really care what people have or do... i just like to answer people's help or ID threads and stay in the off topic forum...

and, people stopped reviewing equipment... every phone has a camera now, and intertubes... take pictures, make a video, anything to help us decide on the purchase or not... i know there are a lot of youtube links, but i want to see what you think... most of the reviews online are like commercials to buy the product...

Agree with most..seems we have become a craigslist for reef junk..on topic threads are minimal response and fs threads get derailed..I am responsible myself sometimes..I admit..not the community it used to be sadly. Not sure why. I certainly could not do a better job and appreciate all those who keep it together.

Would like to see some better updates on totm giveaways and such.

I know I personally try to use local sponsors to buy things I need and members for corals as well as I highly appreciate being able to obtain rare corals and meeting cool people.

We all need to give it back and I know alot do. Just need to keep our hobby cool and distinctive guys. It all begins with us.
