What's in style right now??? Zoas?, acans?, sps? Chalice???

Whats up everyone,

well if you've been in this hobby for a while now you have probably followed the coral trends. I remember when chalices were the biggest thing and everyone was buying, selling and collecting. Zoas have been big lately and the bounce craze has been the "it" coral of lately. I think acans will be next. they were really how around 2013. I personally think SPS are the lowest of interest right now.

I know some zoas have been hot and walt disney acros have been crazy but I'm speaking as a whole coral type.

so what do you guys think is the biggest crazy right now? and whats next?

I like a little bit of everything but when I started out I went crazy collecting acans, they are so nice. I also have love for zoas. But hopefully acans become popular again.

I think Acans have always been popular and maintained premium pricing. I bet BTAs are gonna make a come back with stupid pricing and ridiculous names. Vendors were trying to sell simple and small RBTAs for $100 at RAP. That's just crazy

I really think 2017 will be the year of the Goniopora, I love the rainbow micros ( truely rare corals ) I never see a lot at shows or vendors but REEF RAFT came out strong at RAP..

I think any coral that base crazy bright colors are in but if I had to say one it would have to be WWC Bounce and I have a couple woohoo

true any coral that has amazing colors will be hot but i think can are on the verge of superstardom again. i think its when the collectors get to the areas in the grid where there are a lot of nice corals of a specific species. It then floods the market and everyone is selling them.

I dont remember Favias ever being really hot. I would like to see maxi minis get how. I know there are so many out there with insane colors.

I think your a little late to that party. The price wont hold much longer on those imo... too many have them... they are easy to keep... they grow fast... and can be easily cut.
