age of aquariums... they are my favorite lfs to visit... even if i don't have cash to buy stuffs... LOL... they have everything, great people, and have the best costumer service... these guys show a ton of love and respect... the standard all LFS should practice...

joe's aka bell bird farm... he's awesome and very close to me... not a super LFS, but he always has everything i need... and super cheap prices... great guy, and proof that small hole-in-the-wall shops can hold their own in this messed up economy...

carson tropical fish... tom is another great guy... he will go out of his way to help out a custie... he once offered an entire 100G setup when my friend's tank exploded... what other shop would do that..? he also has nice corals and deals on fish... the collector's real secret...

reef hot spot... :( great staff, and awesome selection, but i hear that they are closing down... that saddens me... i'm gonna miss that spot... (pun intended)...

amazing aquariums and reefs... ali is a great guy, and proof that LPS isn't just a beginner coral... tired of seeing sticks on little stone golf tee's... also he only has what he wants to sell... no clutter or a huge mess... every tank is a display tank...

Coral gazers. Best prices I've seen. Frags of a lot of stuff... high end corals. Nice guys. Very informative. Bunch of dry goods. If u want something they don't have they'll get it for you. Everything is hand picked. Cool rare fish and also have others that are more common. Still being renovated but its nicer everyday. I've been to every LFS in the area and these guys are the best IMO. started there and ill end there...

My top five (not in any specific order btw):

1)Socal Tropical Fish-Great selection of equipment & dry goods! He's starting to carry a larger variety of fishes, which is awesome and I like his coral selection as well! He's got a little bit of everything! Got my very pretty n' vibrant BTA from him and LOVE it!

2)Amazing Aquariums-All around great store with a cool ambiance to it :). He's got a lot of choice corals for sure!

3)Fish Collection-Jimmy has a nice selection of corals and fish and reasonable prices.

4)Vivid-Beautiful coral selection and an awesome display tank worth checking out for sure!

5)Age of Aquariums-Very clean store with a nice selection of both fish n corals.

there are 2 other stores I have shopped that have hosed me, lied to me, and tried to sell me crap I didn't need... I will not mention their names...

I havn't been to a whole lot of LFS stores that I really like but of the ones I have been to Vivid has some real nice stuff as well as Pual @ Fantastic Frags. He's not an LFS but a good guy and provides quality stuff at a great price.

+1 Jeremy is a great guy and he farms a lot of high end coral in the shop, so you don't have to pay online prices. I picked up 6 polyps of valentines day massacre for 80 bones and a tyree limited edition orange setosa for $10

There isn't much of a selection here in the IE but I really have had a positive experience with Aquarium in Motion. It's down the street from my house so I easily save $20 in gas not having to leave the city let alone county.

I know a lot of people are into frags but I just don't want a tank full of a bunch plugs, so this is where I go if need a colony or something cool and rare. Plus, Jason always hooks it up.

I went there yesterday afternoon and Jeremy hooked it up for me. I got the "Sunday special". Your best bet there is to put together a package deal. Great quality at great prices.
