    Bi-color hippo

I posted this thread on another forum and it quickly got buried. So it was either a dumb question or a dumb forum. Even if it was a dumb question I should have started it here first. BUT anyway...... I've only heard it exists but no one has provided me proof. On a hippo tang, instead of where...

    Speed of a clam

We have a clam (nothing special, LE, etc.) that's about 4 inches. I want to put it on a clam holder so its not loose in the sand. The clam holder is a perfect fit right now. How quick do clams grow? Is it going to be fine for a few years or will it grow quick enough that it might move away?

It's kinda soft to the touch. It looks like a fern leaf in its design. Is it going to harm my zoos? Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2

    She/He Wrasse

So we have a harem of wrasse. LL is the super male. Peewee is our small female. KT is, what I thought, the other female. KT is now a smidge smaller than LL. They both chase eachother like its nobody's business. Is there a way to tell the sex of a wrasse? Can they change sex like clowns? Did...

Does shape and size really matter?

We have 4 beautiful tangs (maybe one in the eye of the beholder.) Purple, Sohal, Desjardini, and Hippo that range around 3-4 inches. Everyone's fat and sassy in our 265G. I want more tangs with as much ease as possible. I know the general rules. 1)Add smallest first and then work your way up, so...

What would you buy with a $200 bill?

I know it's not hard to spend money in this hobby. The possibilities are endless. It's like going to Costco and/or Wal-Mart with a $50 shopping list and walking out with a $300 receipt. It ain't much (still awesome,) but I just won a $200 gift card. What would you buy? (need suggestions and...

    Pin Wheel / Color Wheel

Has anyone experimented with creating a color/pin wheel with a capricornis (cup or scroll coral)? I've started what I think and hope should be one with four colors. Just wondering success rate, how you started one and ruffly how long it took for it to look way cool. :dontknow:

    Tissue Recession

At RAP I purchased a platygyra, labyrinth brain coral. Its about a 3 X4 size rock and it was only $5. When she was bagging it up is when I noticed the 1 X 2 tissue recession spot. Can tissue recession spread to other corals? Is there a way to stop it on this rock? Is it harmful to the whole tank...

New here to forums and reefing

Wife of PGR11 (Now you get to hear my side of the story) Our sickness started June 29, 2011. We had a 35 gallon all of 10 days before upgrading to a 60G. August 7th, once our tank had just about finished cycled, we had to transfer everything to a 125 G (which I blame on SoCaliReefs.):laugh...
