Going to run ozone? I've always thought about it but haven't had the guts
I ran ozone on the last tank, not much but enough to keep the water crystal clear. Helped with skimmer production as well- made it a thicker goop. I have all the equipment still so I figgure it wont hurt or cost much to get it running on this new system. I dont think it is a necessity, but if you can get a good deal on the equipment why not?- it is worth having on a few hours a day.
it came in one piece. i plan on sending the care package before thanksgiving.
Yeah it was packed really well! Im half tempted to try it out on the 120g sump/tank but it would probably sterilize the water.....

I am not sure about running the 87 but as for the motor, i love it. It is not as aggressive sound the unequal headers make but the car runs strong. When i head to duarte one of these days you can drive it if you would like...

Btw can you post a picture of how you set up your led/retro lights when you are finished because i am about to do that on my tank!
The build looks great!
I moved to Spokane, WA so wont be able to take you up on that until I come back to visit in the spring, or if youre ever up here in the area thanks for the offer though!

I will deff take pics of my LED build- I had the pics of the old LED build on my original thread but I had to clean up my photobucket- I will reupload the pics/info on the fixtures them selves.

My old DIY LED & VHO light setup - I used Meanwell drivers, CREE LED's, makers heat sinks, optics, solderless LED holders. These fixtures should last me 5-6 years. I have tons of spare LED chips for them too.

Oh so fun wiring diagram w/ calcs

Stuffed all the drivers into a PC tower to look cleaner as this was not able to fit under my stand

SO this time around, I want T5's instead of VHOs on the sides, and I need to rotate all the LED fixtures 90 degrees so that way i dont have t5's lighting up my eurobrace. I just had to modify the aluminum rail I used to slide all the fixtures around and attach the t5 fixtures to the sides.

Light fixture rotated 90

Testing out the skimmer from Lawrence (Bullitr) no leaks! almost totally silent!!

Started programming my APEX and remembered I needed to make some snail/slosh guards for the float switches

Laguna Pump out of its shell and ready to go!

I saw that in the local stores, looks like mainly for copper pipe though, I would be worried about it melting the PVC- I will look into a PVC specific one (i really only have about 2 weeks left until the temps get below 40 daily.

You can take my tank out of state but my reefing roots will always be in SCR! I actually got a couple SCR stickers in the mail from mike on the way, I will be putting them up on my Skimmer & Sump!
wrap your pvc in the metal of your choice the wrap it with heat strips ?

Any one else bought one of these BRS jumbo air dryers? I had no idea it was this huge, I thought it was just going to bea slightly oversized RODI cartridge, this thing is going to take up a lot of real estate on my equipment rack!

Got a dosing liquid storage container off fleabay

Made a small frag rack for Sahns frags

Rock being cycled was getting a bit cold & I can no longer feel my fingers when working in the garage so I had to get a garage- heater installed.

OK since there are NO decent fish stores in Spokane, I had to sneak into one when I was in Portland for work. I smuggled home a VERY nice collection of goodies. They had really good quality healthy SPS frags, and the fish I have been looking for (Sorry Jason) also had one of my favorite nems I have been trying to justify buying for a long time. I finally broke down and got out my credit card.
Labouti Wrasse
Flame Wrasse pair
Flame Tip Nem
5 SPS frags- some that remind me of a few high end RR pieces
a crazy looking acro- reminds me of the Walt Disney Tenuis so I had to give it a try...

I went out and bought a cooler because the livestock was too precious to risk the cardboard box from freezing or getting

Acclimating the fish

Frags

Look how bright the flame tip is compared to my rainbow red nem that I thought was really bright....
