update:)
i cleaned up/hid the wiring on the left side. I still need to do the right side.
i hooked up my ato.
i have had water in the tank for about 3-4 weeks and 14 chromis for about 2 1/2 weeks. my water is really brown but clearing little by little.
i bought a used light from omar/turbonut. giesemann spectra 6ft 3x250se mh, 4x80 t5. gun metal. i had the giesemann infinity before in the light grey and
i really like the darker grey. also the spectra is much bigger than the infinity since it has se bulbs. overall i love my new fixture-now i just need to get 20k radiums and get rid of these 14k's.

next on my list is hooking up my doser and apex. and my next 2 big purchases will be a bigger skimmer and skin this beast:)

your build just keeps getting better Dave. great choice on the light. i love my spectra also. it's only 1/3 the size of yours but these fixtures put out light like no one's business. also smart move on not covering the entire tank with light as some lower light corals can fill the tank ends and do well there. what skimmer were you thinking of upgrading to?

Oh nice. If/when you skin it, you'll have to put a piece of clear acrylic so that people can see the sea horses. :)
sh$t never thought of that,,,have you seen this done before..
also i am probally going to light the fuge with a white ai nano sol..to go with my white theme should look so fresh so clean:)

No, never seen that done before. I guess the only thing bad about having a show fuge is that you have to keep it clean just like the DT.

Check out Andy's ( MarkA.smith) display fuge.. it's awesome :) I love the seahorses in the fuge idea.. but do your research about the different species.. most are colder water than what out reef tanks allow.. but not all :) I would make a cut out in the skin and put some trim molding around it, but leave it open.. the acrylic in front will just collect moisture and salt creep.. plus you'll need to probably hand feed the ponies twice a day, so it'll make for easy access :)
