The sixline wrasse killed my 2 lubbock wrasses. :( I didn't think he would since the 6line is literally half the size. He started biting at them once I put them in the tank.

Sixline = The Devil, they are nasty! I had one bully nearly all my fish even though he was last in the tank. T'was a great day when he jumped and got half eaten by the cat - SIGH -

I have a Lumenbright which is going over my 67gal, you are right though light spread isn't great. I would say 30 x 24 with the large. Still gonna have to use it though. I will just have to aquascape around it.

The only thing the 6 Line is good for is eating flatworms. I think capturing him would be nearly impossible, but im going to try.
Ive got the lumenbright DE which is a mini its only 16x16" so the light spread sucks. Ive got most of my sps situated in the middle so this reflector will do just fine for the first couple of months.

Get the sixline out and get a yellow coris wrasse or a radiant wrasse. Both inexpensice and very peaceful. Both love flatworms too.

Reef Keeper has been mounted to the left corner.

My T5 ballast & ReefKeeper SL1

My Calcium reactor has its own lil stand :)

Enough RO/DI water to last a life time for evaporation, 65g!

A huge mess of wires in my stand!! NooooOOooOOOOoo!!! :(

Does this look normal?? I don't understand why the gauge on the left is near 0 and the gauge at the right is near 50? I hope the tank isn't empty.

A really nice frag of a Cali Tort that Paul hooked me up with. This thing is gonna be awesome in 6 months when its a huge colony!!

My effluent drip rate is around 40ml per minute and around 50 bubbles per minute. My alkalinity was super low so I raised it to 8. I hope the ca-rx can keep it at 8dkh.

Im having a small leak coming from the ph probe holder. Im wondering if I should have used teflon tape around the seals?

I sounds like you are running the reactor really hard for a tank that size. I would drop the bubble rate to 25 a minute and adjust the effluent so you run your PH in the reactor from 6.6.-6.8. start slow or your going to get a huge alk spike.

use teflon on the threads and you have to tighten the compression nut pretty tight to compress around the PH probe

Thanks Paul. I was running it at 1 bubble per second and my ph in my reactor was still not going lower than 6.7 and I put my reef keeper to control it at 6.5. I was following the start up directions on geosreef.com But I guess they base that offa a fully stocked tank. Not an empty one hahahaha.

Ill make the adjustments right now to 25 BPM and a PH of 6.7 on the controller. Thanks man

Hey Paul, is it okay to have my effluent in the water? Right now the effluent is dripping on top of the skimmer pump BUT the gate valve on the skimmer is so powerful it literally blows the water away and into the baffles. I was thinking I could zip tie the effluent to the skimmer pump inlet. lmk thanks

you wont be able to see if the drip rate changes if it is submerged

25 is much better, always start slow, you also have fresh new media, you deffinitely do not want a alk spike, especailly if your alk was already low.

I love how you put the reactor in the cabinet, Very nice
