It's sooooooooooo messy. Don't do it! I ruined my LR and my wife's round table using that crap. Just buy the good gel and JB weld epoxy and make a sangwich.

yeah dude that stuff is a mess. for the price you can get the Hilty epoxy sold @ home depot. it is much thicker and less messy. it wont sag as much. not all home depots carry it so.... Also if you have multiple pieces there is another type you can use its found in the tile section and cost about $30 but the cool thing is it comes in different colors and some colors look like sand and or rock. it also isn't as messy but does take about 4-5 hrs to dry. (you are not limited to a gray color)

You might need to dip the rock in water container for few days for the glue smell gone before place it back in your tank. The smell of silicon or epoxy would kill fish constantly and corals closed big time if you have live stock in there.

I learned this expensive lesson once, all my fishes gone within 2 days.

Very true I have seen this happen before with incited silicone. I have safely used the colored epoxy to cure slower but it won't release any chemicals in your water if allowed to dry properly. And saltwater doesn't affect it like it does with some other glues. Its an epoxy grout and I use it for underwater applications specially in pools. It's made by costume building materials. It should be in the grout area of your nearest home depot. If hoever u do want to be on the safe side and don't need your rock right away. Then let it sit curing a couple of days.

I've used marine epoxy from Lowes with good results. It comes in a tube, you knead it like dough to mix thr two parts, and it will cure under water. Use that to cement the rock, and use some acrylic rod to stiffen up the joint, and you're good to go.
