Yeah I remember when he first opened he had crazy amounts of sick SPS. Not so much anymore. I wish he did but I'm sure he has his reasons. Of course you can find some gems at Mystic but its hit or miss. But then you can always go drop a stupid amount on SPS at death world and get some strange exotic SPS disease.
It's simple, Sps especially maricultured pieces have the unfortunate history of dying for no reason. Say he buys a box of 20, at 26$ his cost $520 total. 6 of those will die in 36 hours. That's -156$ already plus the 2-3$ in electricity and sups or salt per day, and half of those 14 aren't the chosen 6 of the box so they will hang out for 2-4 weeks and brown out then white out and die. Doesn't even break even on the box of Sps. But a box of softies and zoas, boom he pays the rent.

I like to buy SPS from fellow hobbyists. I've never had one tank raised SPS frag just die for no reason.

If I'm dropping big $$, I like to go see Leo. Never lost one piece from him.

Leo has a really good collection. His frags are pretty bullet proof. Ive only lost the dragons blood milli.

if you are looking for pieces with lineage goto sps coral store. i like reefraft but i like the old school pieces.
As an avid SpS collector, I agree with this post. I went to the Sps coral store for the first time today and it was a pleasant surprise. Aaron wasn't there but I can see his hobbiest passion in his store. I can see we have similar taste in that he loves his rare and colorful corals along with rare fish. He had some very nice old school colonies. I'm always looking for the next awesome piece and RR definitely provides that fix for me, but I love my old school proven acros too.

I recently lost my dragons blood Millie. It started turning green, which sucked...then i came home one day and it was sitting against another SPS on my frag rack. It started STNing. I chopped it, but it was too late. After my AEFW are gone, ill prolly get the rainbow Millie.

Well not everyone can have devilish good looks Mr. Nguyen. Lol
I like buying from Leo because he never refuses to cut a piece for me of what he's not selling.
WHO IS LEO?!?!?! THIS IS THE SECOND REFERENCE TO HIM. WHO IS HE?

With Leo, u get what u pay for.

The way i see it t's like getting a powder blue or leopard wrasse from a hobbyists. Would u rather pay $40 from a lfs and hope and pray the fish makes it? Or pay $80 and have 99% chance he will make it. It's the same with Leo. His corals are mostly all tank raised. When u buy a piece from him, ur paying for that guarantee.

Yet your millie just died. Meaning it's much lower than 99%
