Ok next question, how do you have it plumbed? Inline with your return or out of sump back into sump?

I have mine plumbed inline. My return runs up and splits off to a manifold that has 4 union ball valves. I just run it off of one those. I have it go through my UV sterilizer first, then into the chiller, and then back into my return pump chamber. I don't have it return into my skimmer chamber, which is chamber number one for me, because my temp probe is there.

The UV sterilizer is right behind the skimmer cup. I connect the chiller to the outflow side of the sterilizer, then run the return hose from the chiller behind the pipes and into my return chamber.

So is the best way to hook up a chiller, to put a pump in the return pump side and go to the chiller, then have it return back into the first chamber?

It all depends on where you have your temp probe at. Where is your temp probe located? I have mine in the first chamber of my sump, so i don't want the chiller to return the water to that section because then the chiller will turn off when only that chamber gets down to my desired water temp. I have the chiller return into my return section so that it can go directly into the tank, cool down the tank, and then drain into the first section of my sump which has my temp probe that regulates my chiller.

Ok so I haven't had the opportunity to run it with vinegar yet. I got sent out to NY for the week. Luis, I have 2 temp probes, one in the sump, and one in the display. By what you said, I should base my chiller function by my sump temp probe and not my display
