Get a black cloth or drape with Velcro strips for that back side to hide the cords. Sweet Lil rig man, welcome.

Yep, I'm working on throwing something back there for the cords. The light is 6 Crees which is plenty I think, but I'm adding 6 more once I build my new pendant

I you took the lenses off it would be more than enough. Just build a Lil acrylic shield so the light doesn't go into the room. Only needs to be a Lil black acrylic 1-2" lip and use crazy gel.
I think at the paragon place they can cut it for you.

Time for an update!

First, I've been working on a little enclosure for my light:

Decorated with... SPACE INVADERS!!

Here's the finished product, grouted and hooked up: (How a'grout dat?!)

And a shot of the full set up - not too bad for a completely self contained 10 gallon imo:

Also I was tired of the constant lamanar flow I was getting in the tank, so I upgraded the plumbing and threw in a hydor flo:

Still hid everything behind the false wall, though:

**** C O R A L S ***** =)
got some new frags ("no more of those small flower corals", my girlfriend says =p)

annnddd, I'm stoked to report that my blue hornets are recovering to their former glory! I attribute this to either moving them out of the light, or glueing them on top of this shot glass to isolate them from hermits

And a new FTS:

How's it lookin?
