If it was a power outage then it most likely affected your power supply. I know you swapped controller but did you try a different power supply with it? Honestly, those power supplies seem pretty crappy.

Can I buy a separate power supply? Say at a radio shack? I haven't tried changing it since I don't have a back up.

So apparently my wp40 is either full of gunk and is barely turning from that or it's just a dead pump. How do you snap the front part of the back? Any links? This happen to anyone else. POS! I wish I never sold that 6105 now! Fuuuuuuuuughk
Did you figure out what was wrong with your WP40?
Out of the blue, mine appears to be working properly again. It seems to go through periods where it does not get enough power and then go back to normal after a few days.
I wonder if I have a bad AC adapter.

No, he's the kind of dude that'll chop off his head to fix a headache, lol. I think the most likely suspect is the power source. Check out the one reefes pieces linked above...it'll likely solve the issue.

I'd swap out the ac adapter as the one they give with the pump seems pretty crappy and most likely overrated for their amperage.

Just as I post that my pump is working again, it got stuck again when it is set to W1/S3 ! lol.
So I have to run the controller at max speed just to get some flow out of the pump. But then when it shifts back to normal it causes a storm in my tank :)
I am taking it off-line for now just to be on the safe side.

I ordered the power supply that you linked and will see how that works.

Also, I contacted the eBay seller and told them what was happening to my pump and explained what steps I already did to troubleshoot.
They are sending me a replacement pump to help isolate the problem since it has a 12-month warranty.

I'm too lazy and busy to go and buy an ac adapter. Omar is gonna come over and fix it for me. He likes hearing how handsome he is when he eats a side of cattle.
