Hello everyone
my setup is a 40g 36x15x16
coralife super skimmer65
koralia 4
poly-reactor 20/20
jebo 835 canister filter (not sure if this is necessary but it adds a pretty decent flow)
haven't figured out what works better but i got a dual t5 a single t8 and 2 beamworks led lights kinda using a mix of t5 and led right now
55+lbs lr
40lbs sand
lost count of my cleanup crew (20+ hermits 2 emerald 10ish nassarius snails 10 turbos but i think my hermits ate some)
ocelaris clown
velvet damsel (going to be moved to my 100 gallon currently cycling)
scooter blenny
pistol shrimp/yellow watchman pair (i haven't seen them in weeks but i hear the pistol shrimp at night)
flame angel (also waiting to be moved)
mixed sps lps (trying to work on getting color out of my strawberry shortcake acropora its green and brown)

if anyone gots any suggestions please feel free to post. im fairly new to the hobby 5 months in

Welcome to SocaliReefs! ditch the canister filter unless you are planning to clean it up once a week. If not it can become a nitrate factory. If ever, just use the canister filter with out filter pads. Just live rock rubble and carbon will do the job.
