I got 2 WP25 about 1.5 yr ago. Both have died in recent months.

Are people having any problems and gave up on them? I just got some RW pumps. Not sure if they're any better or worst in terms of reliability.

i have two WP-25 for over year and half one already gave up on me , but its awesome how cheap you can just buy the pump alone($35) . If it was ecotech its would cost you over $60 for just wet side .

Where can you buy the pumps by themselves? Just picked up an rp20 and was thinking of adding one to the other side of the tank

i have 2 wp60's still working fine after 6 months. wasn't happy with the controller so i purchased an after market one lots of choices and they can be timed together, can be run as fast or as slow as you want will probably have to replace because of the coraline algae build up up.

I still have my original wp25'sfrom the preorder a few years ago. Love them. I actually prefer them over my mp40's. I'd buy jebao in a heartbeat...and plan on doing so the next time I need a new pump.

I was using 2 wp60s on my 300g. I noticed one of them was losing some power. The other one stopped running. Haven't tried trouble shooting yet. hopefully they just need a good cleaning

Hmm. Two of my pumps died. I tried cleaning them in vingear, but no luck. It seems the shaft has too much friction to spin. Can these be lubed?

Ive had my wp40s for about two years. One went bad, and was replaced but the other is still going strong.

Gumbii you cant really be upset that your pump isnt working right if you broke the controller. Id be pretty stoked it was working at all, that being said, have you looked into the other ways to control the pumps? Apex or otherwise?

I control mine from my apex and so i have three spare controllers gathering dust.

i'm not upset... just a bit bummed... but also impressed that even though the controller got the aids, it still goes in night mode, and well, at least moves water around...

the awesome thing is that someone on the forum, a good friend from BITD offered me a controller for free... woo hoo... i love my friends...

and i can't afford an apex... LOL... don't think i'll ever get one... i've been doing this for about 10 years, and don't want to stress over levels and crap like that... i haven't tested a tank in over 6 years... if i see something wrong with my tank, i take it to an LFS to test what i think is wrong, and fix it... a watched pot never boils...

What does an apex have to do with levels and crap like that and testing?

Lost 3 in a year and a half. I don't think the rw line will last any longer. A year to 1.5 years they will take a crap also. Buy quality. Honestly reefing and budget don't go together.

the only thing i can think an apex is good for is to tell you when your ph drops, or temperature swings... that's what i see people making threads for... lol... just saying that people get an apex, stress that their ph is swinging around, then make a 30 page thread about it...
