Hey, everybody thank you for the congrats. There are a lot of other beautiful tanks and so I find this really cool, very excited and frankly quite humbled by it. Hopefully, only another month to the next Socalireefs featured tank.
Awesome tank.
How long have you had the femininus?
Have only had the feminus for a short while. Got her and a chaoti wrasse and a yellow coris wrasse from another reefer who was breaking his tank down. He had all three for about two years so they were well acclimated to the tank environment and were eating any and everything thing right off the start.
Your tank is such an inspiration! Thank you for sharing. Did the lighting change make a difference? What kind of lighting did you use before.
Only had the lights for a short time so not really aware of much difference in coloring or growth of corals. But this fixture has super duper reflectors so at the same wattage, the tank is much brighter by a lot. The down side is that the 20k ushios seemed to be much easier to color correct in photoshop elements. All I had to do was slide the "temp" control to 20 k and the coral looked just like they did in the tank. With the radiums, 4 t5s vs 2 t5's and better reflectors, sometimes the pictures come out a little goofy colored and I struggle with correcting the color to reflect exactly what I see. Hopefully, I'll get use to taking pictures and correcting with this fixture soon.
