Haven't gone led yet but it's looking better every month.. What do they recommend for a 5' length tank? Are you guys mounting them parallel or perpendicular to the length?
My friend has a 5ft 60x24x24 and she has 3 radions mounted perpendicular to the long axis. It spreads light well.

CREE, Inc USA lisenced their LEDs to be made by chinese company. It is totally possible Ecotech, USA imports most of radion parts from China.

But, still no Radion XR30w settings posted? I wonder why?

Simple: what mode? what color temp? what intesity? ramp? height of lamp from water?

thanks

After a month, I am either seeing no change from my 250w MH or better coloration on my SPS. Frags I bought a month ago are encrusting and growing upwards. Nothing but good things are going on in my tank with the Radion.

As for the thunderstorm mode, I don't use it. It wasn't the main reason I bought the fixture, so it really isn't a big deal.

Thats great!

Radions have been compared to MH 20K RadiuMs in a few other forums.

SoCalDude, please share your settings.

check out this thread

http://www.socalireefs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25687

when I started this thread radion was 1 month old, new owners were like "wow LED... that stands for light emitting diode".. haha

but pretty much I have mine setup like slee013's, but

12 inches above waterline, approx 20x20x 10inch deep frag tank
on @ 8am, 4 hour rampup to 80% 20k, then sustained 14k for 6 hours, then 20k rampdown 4 hours, then moonlight with 20k blues at 1%. its nice, but im not feeling this gigantic ballast it comes with.

Any of you guys have a setting to emulate a 20K Radium besides the default 20K setting? Not sure how accurate it is to a Radium.

im looking for one as well. i have been using the one posted on rc but it way to blue..

For anyone who's interested, you can follow the link below to download my current EcoSmart graph.

In order to apply it, you'll want to save and unzip the file. In artificial mode, change your start day time to 11am and start night to 11pm. Then, select the "Import to Selected Graph" button and select the file. Let me know what you think!

I just purchased (2) of the Radion's for a client's 100gallon "Half-Moon" tank. I haven't had a chance to play around with them much yet. Unfortunately, the client doesn't like seeing blue, haha!

What the....

Fortunately radion can look somewhat yellow, green, or red for those reefers that like the freshwater look.
