Wow, very impressive! Glad it all worked out, that is going to be a sweet tank build!

I had to crawl under and through the cart and switch places with him so he could push the other 2 wheels up and over the step. I don't know why but he didn't think I could do it. :p
Wait there like that, im on my way!

Congrats Lindsey! Glad everything went smoothly! Your husband gets a +1 for build cred so please retire the photo of the "custom" overflow box for his dignity's sake! haha no offense but that was almost the equivalent of cracking the glass w/ a hammer and calling it a drain. jk Can't wait to see more build pics
Thanks guys! This thread has me cracking up! Especially this^^^

And Juan... SMH...

I've been busting out boards in the stand this morning and my husband got half a day off and just got home from HD so he can work on the stand a bit before he has to be back to work at 4. After that he won't be able to work on it till next week because he'll be out of town till Monday.

Got a little work done on the stand today. I busted out the plywood floor of the stand and used the circular saw to trim off the moulding that stuck out on the bottom around the entire perimeter of the stand. Now it's flush with the rest and we can add a 2x4 all the way around to raise it up. Gonna do the same thing on the top. I didn't get any pics cuz my husband left town earlier today and my daughter was at school. I'll try and get pics tomorrow. Too bad I couldn't get a pic of me with the power tools cuz I know y'all think I just sit around while the husband does all the work! Lol

My Tank Build
Very nice. I don't believe u, u used power tools tho. Remember I was there for the tank break down and move. Talk about a lost girly girl.

I'm so pissed at my self know that I spent so much time and money on my 180 and now wish I would have done a 300 or 240.

You don't have to believe me but it's the truth. You're right... I was pretty overwhelmed with my tank breakdown and running on zero sleep didn't help. And everything I suggested doing, y'all poopooed and said we should do different so I just let y'all go with it and do it your way :p I was so blessed and thankful to have you guys to help me! Y'all were awesome! BUT that has nothing to do with me being able to use power tools!

Got this in the mail today

And been getting some work done on the stand
The top and bottom had a lip that stuck out like this. I taped it to help keep the would from splintering and getting torn up by the circular saw. Then I drew a line so I would know where to cut to take the lip off and make it flush with the rest of the stand.

Board's about to drop, trying to catch it with my leg so it doesn't drop on my toes. Yeah probably shouldn't have worn flip flops. :p

Last cut

You can see where the tape was and how it helped having it there

Bottom after adding extension
(upside down)

And upright

Top extension finished

Now just need to sand it all down, put moulding on, stain, poly, and done!

Yes... hilarious I know
