I'm finally finished staining the stand!

I still have to build the doors but that can be done after we get the tank put on the stand.
Oh and of course I still have to poly it, too.

Thanks Nick. I'm trying to hurry! :p
Who knew I really COULD build a nice stand, huh! All that trash talking on my last build that never was completed.... I didn't care then because it was easier to have him do most of the work... but this time, it would never get finished if I didn't take matters into my own hands! He's hardly ever home and he kinda had his fill on the last stand I never ended up using. And then the whole tank mover/move... and unless I learn a lot more about plumbing and fast, he's gonna have to help me a lot more soon... :p
Looking good. How ugly are your hands
Well my hands are the least stained part of my body that actually got stained because I scrubbed the heck out of them with 'Fast Orange'... BUT I have stain in my hair, on my arms, legs, feet, and clothes.
Wow! That is beautiful! What a great job u did on it.. And I LOVE that color stain! :)
Thanks Jami!
Great job,That's a serious transformation!
Thank you David! Yeah it's hard for me to believe it looks so different and turned out so nice! :)

Well I wasted time staining the bottom beams... my husband added more of them and put a nice floor on the bottom so I stained that and coated it in Thompsons water sealer today.

Does anybody know if I can/should also put a coat of poly on top of the Thompsons?

U should try putting the tank on the stand and putting salt water and fish and corals in it...that's what most people do.
Very funny Schnitz.... I can't wait till that day! We're ready to bring the stand in the house and get the tank on it but we need to coordinate some buddies to come over and help us carry the tank outside to still it for a closed loop and then bring it in and put it on the stand.
