Does this count as diy? I bought the kit from brs and put it together. Time for some jumpers as soon as my clowns are out of the qt. looks good, and lets the light shine through. Im definitely pleased.

Yep my yellow coris went flying on Saturday... Saw him go and watched him dry out as I couldn't reach him... Gotta get a screen! Thanks for the pics & info!

Screen. It allows for gaseous exchange between the system and atmosphere, evaporative cooling and it allows better light penetration.
This, especially for me, for some reason its hard to keep my ph above 8.0, so i dont really have the option of a glass top.

My screen top has saved my wrasses many many times at lest a couple times a day. Good job with the screen top.
Yep! I have new splashes every day in the acrylic of my T5's and leds. It's wishful thinking and tank aggression that causes em to jump.

Should of said it like me, it sounds better. "It's like when you wake up in the morning and blow a nasty pedo under the blankets" that's what a lid would do, now take the big San Marcos with a Lion on it off and free willy that same pedo. Air and pedo live in harmony.

I bought their screen as well and tried to do it myself .the problem was that I have a hob skimmer and refugium ,and unfortunately I don't think there's 90• elbows for window screens.did you run into that problem ??

They do have 90 degree plastic inserts for the outside of the screen, you could just buy as many as you need to get around your skimmer, but i doubt it would cover everything. Probably better than nothing though.

Question?

Do the fish acquire any damage as a result from hitting the screen or glass top?
