That was my concern As well with mostly sps and a nem that I just moved to the bottom prior to this. But my tank was starting to look like crap and I don’t wanna do a 100 percent blackout. But I didn’t loose any corals or any sps brown out. Another thing too I just gotten my insanity grow out frag just day before I started the treatment. That frag is doing great 😊 let me know if you wanna use the UV it’s got a new bulb.
One more thing if your feeding amino you have to stop it’s food for Dino’s.
That’s great to know if it comes to it I’ll change my light cycle. I feel like it was looking a little more clear today but I won’t know until later for sure.
I was using brightwell amino every few days but cut it out once I confirmed Dino’s. I read that and vitamins can feed it.

my nutrients are still there today. 10 no3 and po4 tested .11 so it went up a bit from yesterday. Due to that I only dosed a 1/4 dose of substrate sauce today.

I feel like this is about 30-40% better today from yesterday. Hopefully it continues on. I’d normally have some matting forming by this time of day and a few areas where I lost colonies before would be covered by now. So far a light dusting overall with 2 small dark spots. Not bad.

Looking better! Last year my sand was covered in cyano (and possibly dinos) and the only thing I did was dose PNS Probio. In a matter of weeks, it all cleared up. I pulled some manually and stirred up some spots, but the bacteria did all the heavy lifting. So I think you have a pretty strong grip on this and it should clear up for you in no time.

I think so too. The sand stayed noticeably cleaner looking today but I will say I'm seeing some pop up on the GHA and couple spots on the rock. I've probably just been dealing with 2 strains and now that one is on the way out the other got a little bump.

I was planning on a water change, I'll try and siphon out what I can and knock it back a bit manually.

My polyp extension on my tenuis is absolutely crazy today. Probably both nutrients and PNS, but it's pretty damn awesome to see!

Slightly more improvement today. Can't wait until this is resolved so I can start going at the GHA again. That red piece front right is getting the beat down from shading/growth. I may just hack it up and clean the dead section off with a chisel since it seems to be a prone area for the GHA to grab hold of. Then I'll just start the colony over there again. I can't wait to get the tubing and sicce out of the display too.

Completed a 40g water change today and siphoned my sand bed. I tested my parameters:
79F
1.025
Alk: 9.3
Calcium 450
Magnesium 1440
po4 .1
no3 10ppm

I took the time and matched all the parameters including nutrients to my fresh salt so the tank didn't skip a beat.

There was just a little dusting of dinos, so I spent the first 20g siphoning the top of the bed. I went through and pulled all my patches of GHA throughout the tank and brushed some rock with the second 20g.

A few hours later and I got a smile on my damn face. I really feel this tank is about to start doing well. It's nothing that would really translate to a picture, more small nuances: exceptionally clear water, great PE and some pretty good coloration tonight.

I feel the main contribution for the dinos was the addition of the UV to the display and more than likely getting some nutrients in the tank. I'll say it's very hard to over look the day after adding PNS I started to see noticeable improvements on my issue. I plan to start working PNS into my usual routine.

Good to hear. I really like PNS, especially over Biodigest. Its ability to seek out a different nitrogen source instead of depleting nitrates is one of those reasons. And now, they give you the ability to culture your own PNS at home. No one else has given you the keys like this.
Also, if you haven’t done so already, try a small bottlebrush with the GHA, the twist and pull method works well in those tight spots.

Today the sand is nice and white so far. Some GHA still but no bryopsis. That should mean no more water changes needed so I'll be sending out an ICP later this week if everything stays looking okay.

Oregon Tort over Purple Deaths. I need to figure out how to get rid of these things again. Really not a fan of polys anymore.

Caroliniana has some interesting swirls going on. Some areas are more yellow, some greenish.

RRC Hellfire Enchinata. Hard to tell if it's stressed or new growth on the tips.

WD finally doing something. Encrusting but I'll take it. This guy has been locked up for sometime now.

Pink Boobies (I think)

Some type of micro blastos, spacing the name. Really cool variation though

Looking good bro!! I just noticed that that really pretty wrasse ends up in almost every pic. Needless to say he’s/she’s not camera shy 😂
Thank you! Yeah non of these fish are all that shy, maybe just the sunset and bangaii. Half the time I try to get a coral shot I gotta wait a bit to not get a fish photo bomb!
