Well I've had this issue with some of my sps corals turning green. At first I was all stoked about it, but now it seems to be the only color that stands out. I did some researching, and read other people having the same issue and blamed it on high P04.
I'm wondering if anyone from this forum has had this issue, or something similar. I know right now I'm having a bad P04 issue. I'm doing a 40g w/c when I get home. Plus I'm gunna get some phos e ASAP. I've been running gfo, but my stupid Aquamaxx reactor keeps screwing up.

What other issues have people noticed with high SPS and high P04?

Thanks for any help

It will not tumble the gfo correctly. It's super annoying. It ends up tumbling only on one side, then the other side just gets packed and doesn't move....I've pulled the whole thing apart and cleaned it multiple times. I'm ready to throw it in the trash

I have it coming off my 2400 laguna, and I can turn up the flow high enough to blast the crap out of the gfo. Still won't tumble

Also this is Aquamaxxs Bio Pellet reactor, but I was told it was the same exact thing as their gfo reactor

Nitrate reads 0 on API...I also vodka dose, so I think my nitrates are in check. If they're not 0 on a Hanna I don't care, all my fish are happy.

U think nitrates could affect color? I mean change color from purple to green?

They are the same . The differnce is the pellet reactor doesnt have a sponge and the media reactor does. And the aquamaxx is supposed to spin the media not tumble

Stop messing with lame po4 removers, Rowaphos FTW. One day and your back in the game.
