Funny story I accidentally threw away a HUGE bucket of Rowaphos. Not knowing what it was or what it cost, and it was full. Almost brand new. Haaha. IDIOT!!

It will not tumble the gfo correctly. It's super annoying. It ends up tumbling only on one side, then the other side just gets packed and doesn't move....I've pulled the whole thing apart and cleaned it multiple times. I'm ready to throw it in the trash

Might be the manifold isn't pushing it correctly. Mine tumbles perfect with a large mJ1200

Stop messing with lame po4 removers, Rowaphos FTW. One day and your back in the game.
Rowaphos, is the best quality GFO remover i have used. It never clumps on me- I would invest in rowaphos, I buy the 5kg bucket about once a year

Nitrate reads 0 on API...I also vodka dose, so I think my nitrates are in check. If they're not 0 on a Hanna I don't care, all my fish are happy.

U think nitrates could affect color? I mean change color from purple to green?

Sorry to Multi post, nitrates are actually good for Sps in small amounts, as is phosphate >.03

It is possible, but not likely That thing has way more pressure than my old MJ1200

Ya but it could be a gravity thing and or and or air. Its a thought bubba plus I have my mj1200 dialed back to get the tumbling oh so sweet. Like rocks in a crack heads pocket, ooooooowiiiiiiiii!

I like my regular gfo. Ive tried rowa and didnt like it much imho. I find if you use the gfo pellets and not granuels and running proper flow it doesnt clog.

Yeah we used Rowaphos in the beginning and didn't like it too much as it didn't get the job done at all.. :( But on a side not we BARELY tumble our gfo and it seems to be working fine and our BRS reactor does the same by only tumbling one side.. annoying..

I remember reading somewhere SPS turn green when they are too high up light wise.. But most of your corals are glued sooo..?? (shrug) :)

Dude via aqua reactor ftw. Put a sponge on the pump inlet and it shouldn't clog as easy

How old are your sponges? Sometimes, they get too clogged and just need replacing after time. I run a Minijet 606 full blast on my reactor and it tumbles the GFO as it should so long as the sponges are clean.

Quite the opposite in my rig. Bulk Reef supply high capacity would last 10 days less than Rowaphos with the same agitation and same 3.5 cups. And I say last less, when it would register .04 out of the reactor outlet at about 16 days.

But hey, to each his or her own.

Theres the problem everyone knows the high capacity doesnt last long. The normal capacity gfo last longer and does just as good of a job. It just doesnt remove as fast which imho isnt such a bad thing.
