I honestly use the glacier in my area. Always reads out to 4ppm. I know zero is the desired level but my phos & no3 is always below 10. My setup 50 gallons w/ 2 tangs, 2 clowns, wrasse, 2 chromis, damsel, coral shrimp, and a few frags.

Hey John! When we first started the hobby we use to use those. Lugged 12 jugs to the sore and took a good 45 min to fill them all LOL.. NEVER AGAIN!! We always tested the water before, never using anything higher then 10 iirc and never had any problems. Now though, I'd only use it if you were in a pinch or something.

Highly recommend getting a RO system and making your own water.

+1 in getting your own system. I have a different filtration at my pad but Im getting the BRS 5 stage next week myself since I like making my own water now.

I use it. Says on the screen when it was last serviced. I've realized the same guy has the route in my area. They put stickers with their names on them. But I will say I don't use right away. It'll sit in my garage for several days before using so it my be distilled by the time I get to it. Others on here may know if that's the case or not as why I have no problems with it.

The water he brought in was in a water bottle. I think that 34 is probably average from those machines if not better than most.

One of the cleanest waters will be Culligan. My work water is always between 2-6 Tds. Always was tempted to just add a DI and make my water at work. But alas I am way too lazy to jug it home. Water stores vary from 6-135 Tds. For humans Tds is good for us.

People who buy that vending machine water probably have nuisance algaes and I bet Cyanobacteria often.

i started using ro from a drinking water store out here. its usually 1 or 2 tds. i tried one of those water machines that was just serviced outside the vons and it was over 30. ill stick to the water stores. there filters look more legit anyways.
