Well my Riterri Anemone after a year decided to take a walk and got partially stuck on my powerhead. Came up and my sump in the garage was bubbling and skimmer was full. Knew something was wrong. Looked in my tank and all my fish had died or near death. Had all these fish for over a year

A few pics to mourn :(

Didnt know nems can wipe out a tank so fast. Problem is the nem wasnt completed shredded. Just partial like 1". Nem is doing ok so far. Tank is cloudy. Wierd thing are my clowns are normal in the nem and not struggling so I left them in there since I have no more room in my two quarantine tanks. Another Lion died and a Queen Angel just right now. I know my bioload was high but I was able to manage it until this. Im prepared for blackouts and other emergencies but I guess I need to find a way to protect the powerheads. Hard to give up since I have XXXL sebae anemone doing well for 5 years and just purchased a Blueline Angel and Majestic just last week but they are in quarantine still.

You may want to check this out: Bulk fishing nets ( web site ) I had the same problem with a nem. Got caught in my mp 40. I covered them with netting that I bought from this company. Used tie straps to secure. Keeps the nems out of power heads.

sorry to hear..i feel your pain

I had the same problem 3 months ago..it was a ritteri anemone too, who got blended up in my Koralia..Luckily, I caught it just before leaving for work in the morning.

Ended up missing work and doing the fastest 65% water-change known the man..I was able to save everyone, except 4 fish who already died..
