I recently picked up a 30g Shin Mao Tank (aka Finnex M-Tank) from an awesome reefer and I've been planning to setup the tank soon (sometime between Thanksgiving to Christmas). However, I was wondering how it'll hold during an earthquake. The tank made up of tempered glass (which mean it's stronger than regular glass, even though the glass is only 5mm thick) but I read that even though its stronger, it's more brittle and it doesn't take very effort to shatter it...
Would a decent sized earthquake, say... a 5.5, cause the tank to shatter? Or am I just being paranoid?
