I agree with emac... It's not right that an active member that's been around a while isn't allowed access to an area that someone else who's been around a couple months can go to just because they post a bunch of nonsense.
I think it should be a combination of how long you've been a member & a fair amount of posts. But most importantly, there should be an age requirement... 18+! I know I wouldn't want any of my kids (in a few years of course) getting on here, posting 1000 posts in a couple months, & then stumbling upon the things I've seen in the sump!
So lets recap...
Time as member (8 mos?)
# of posts (300 sounds good to me)
And 18 years & over

I don't know why people care about the sump. It was created because some people complained about some of the off topic banter a few of us engaged in. Now when people get in they just post a bunch of caca. The off topic banter has lost its subtlety and nuance in this forum. Additionally people are spamming in other threads now to get in only to be let down once in. Although I guess the schnitzel drama in there gets people excited.
