One of the good things about this show is that after people spend thousands of dollars on setups and realize how much work it is to keep an aquarium, Craigslist will be flooded with tanks and equipment probably for pretty cheap prices! Although I do think they should educate people on how to setup a tank properly and the cost that goes along with it.

I too have purchased a few dry goods at Petco/Petsmart. I would shy away from the livestock at all costs. The show is entertaining but we all know they aren't doing things the "right" way. I remember a recent episode where they were pumping 100+ degree water into the tank so they started dropping ice from the ice machine in the tank to cool the water down... *sigh* I guess it's just my own opinion but i've never been a fan of FO tanks. Geeezzz... people are so touchy on this forum. I can't say anything without it being a personal attack. hahaha..

You're kidding right? A number of us said those tanks were cool, then you tried to insult us by saying we shopped at Petco/Petsmart. Nobody attacked you, just responded to your post. Sounds like you're the touchy one...

Okay, you're right. I was wrong and I apologize. Wanna hug it out? I guess the idea that the "Tanked" guys are nuking tanks full of fish is getting me worked up.

 Hahahaha, It's all good

And I completely agree, I think the show is a joke, probably good for the financial side of the hobby, but definitely not good for the health of the livestock in the hobby...

But most of the tank ideas are cool, just not practical...

Yea I can see why but i watch the show with the mentality that Its just that a show for entertainment purposes only. Which sucks for the fish.

more than just entertainment Jose!... Experimental too!.. I mean, one of those hot tap water uncycled system are gonna somehow sustain itself keep all the fish ALIVE!.. I can't wait for that episode... :)... Probability is on their side, I'm sure they'll get one tank right eventually..
