Nice pictures! Try to take photos that are perpendicular to the glass of the tank. They'll come out less distorted. If you want more of a blurry background (bokeh), try putting it in AV mode and setting the f/stop to something low like 2.8 or whatever your lens permits, turn down the ISO and then shoot.
