Ok so about a week before Thanksgiving, I bought a tailspot blenny. My six line wrasse immediately started bullying him and the poor sucker just sat there and took it. I miraculously caught the six line, returned him to the LFS, and traded him in for a elegant firefish. The sixline was starting to steal food from my watchman and poke at the clowns a bit anyway.

At first my clowns wouldn't let the fire fish come to the front of the tank, but they eventually worked it out and just stayed a good distance from each other. Then for some odd reason, the firefish got enough balls and started getting territorial with the neon goby and the blenny. Nothing too vicious like the six-line was doing, but not completely friendly either.

I left on Wednesday evening for Thanksgiving and I came back Sunday. You can tell everyone was a bit hungry and aggravated. Now the blenny is MIA and has been so since Sunday.

What are the chances that he is just hiding out and didn't actually get bullied to death and eaten by my cleanup crew?????

My tank is only 40 gallons. I tested the water to see if there was some kind of ammonia spike from something dying, but I didn't see anything. Before I left everyone was eating regularly and out and about regularly as well.

The reason I'm confused about why he would hiding is because he's the only one that actually had food - eating algae off the rocks............ very confusing.
