added 2 more female tierra anthias, a m/f pair of bimaculatus anthias and a blue star female leopard wrasse yesterday, so this morning I threw in a big handful of brine shrimp and mysis shrimp cubes. Thankfully, all newcomers come out to eat, so i'm happy...nitrates probably going to go up, but at least i knew the newbies are pigs :thumb:

adding a chevron tang today, acclimating now and will be added soon.

my circus is almost complete and restocked after the crash :becky:

Pulled out a dead blue stripe cleaner wrasse. I won this guy at the SCRK meeting and was pretty stoked about it.

It looked like his mouth was damaged. I imagine that was the cause. Just glad I found him and in a spot that was easy to get to. *sigh*

sorry to hear man! FYI..but 1 out of 100 (or even 500) cleaner wrasses adapt and live, others just die off..sucks nonetheless.
Thanks man. I read that same thing the morning after I won it. I was hopeful but it never looked settled the whole week. And I'm definitely not planning on replacing it with another. As pretty as this fish is, I don't see me buying one ever with such poor mortality.

Reaquascaped over the weekend. I finally got it where I'm satisfied with how it looks!
What do you guys think? I'm running carbon, skimmer, and phosban reactor. I can't believe how polished my water is! Now just gonna sit back and watch my sps and zoas grow! :)

Switched out carbon and GFO---upped it to two cups of GFO in helps of alleviating my green cyano issue. Played around with flow and rockscape too. I really like my NextReef reactor. I found a great way to switch out my GFO without messes and emptying out the reactor. I just sandwich the two sponges together tightly and pull out the tube straight into a bucket. This coming from the BRS reactor mess, so I'm quite happy and it's a lot more enjoyable to clean out media now.

added a crosshatch trigger pair (to replace the male I lost in my crash) and a pink margin fairy wrasse...

all eating, so i'm happy.

Just saw the female crosshatch tucked in the back corner between a bunch of rock..she's been there for about an hour, so she's probably stuck :(....going to have to excavate her out soon :twitch:

Good idea! Gonna have to try that when I change mine.

Hmmm....let's see.

*My female swallowtail jumped out of the tank. It happened when I was there so I picked him up & dropped him back in.
*Did a bi-weekly water change.
*I added a sand sifting star.
*re-glued a couple of sps.
*accidenty broke off a piece of Garf Bonsai

More to follow!

nah, still got him..he was almost a goner (turned all black and was swimming at top of the tank upside down)...after I got the water circulating and power back up, he turned back to normal and ate the food I dropped in to see if he "was back"...If I was about 30 minutes too late, he would have been a goner..got lucky with him :)
