I'm looking for a good quality scraper for my 3/4" tank. Tired of the magnets not being strong enough. Recommendations and solicitations welcome.

I have heard good things about the flipper but its not rated for an aquarium 3/4"

Maybe a hammerhead

This or the one with the shark on it. I've been using mine for 2 years and it's still a beast. Comes with extra felts as they wear out after 10 months or so.

i got this http://www.marinedepot.com/Flipper_...ms-Enoch_Innovations-4F54601-FIMTAM-4-vi.html and love it because:

1) well, it flips so you can scrape off the coralline

but to me, equally important:

2) it's thinner than other cleaners so can squeeze b/w tight spots where the rock is close to the glass.
Hey Bob how well does it work for the Coraline? I have some in the back corners that's thicker than **** so I have been avoiding doing it. How big is your tank and how thick is your glass? Thanks!

i only have a 75g. Glass is 3/8".

I had some pretty thick spots as well and going straight at it w/ the entire blade doesn't really work. What i do instead is kind of go at an angle and use the corner of the blade. That seems to do the trick and results in pretty large flecks of coralline peeling away.

I'm pretty anal about having the glass super clean and, prior to having the flipper, it was difficult to get the the areas by the silicone sealant as i didn't want to damage it. I would end up w/ a line of purple running vertically at the corners and it bothered me. Anyways, that problem is solved now because this thing gives me more control. Oh, and the growth i had just above the sand line is gone as well. I wish i could use it on my tunze pumps too! ;)

Get a Tiger Shark from Algae Free with the razor blade attachment. This is probably the best setup you will find. I have two 300 tanks that are really difficult to get to and these magnets make it easy.
