so i was told by one reefer that if i put the zoas at the bottom of the tank then they will expand and get bigger and longer and multiply faster that way.

but another one said that if i give them more light then they will get bigger in size but not stretch up which is a good thing so they can grow more faster.

which is it?

how can i make my zoas grow out into bigger colonies. i want to know so i can then spend the 30,40, or 50 bucks on one single polyp (crazy prices,at least i think) and not have it die on me and grow into more quickly

Not really the seem to grow for me wherever I put them. Once they cover the frag plug or whatever they're on you can put the on a bigger rock. They seem to spread faster when they can attach to something. I like to feed them frozen cyclops cubes. Pellets work too. Just use a turkey baster with pumps off and cover them. They will close up and eat whatever you give them. Of course the more polyps you have they faster they will multiply.

Zoas expand to increase their surface area in reaction to lower light. I had a fat 1 polyp of blue hornet that I bought from another reefer that stayed that way for awhile until switched over to LEDs and shrunk to half of its size but multiplied quickly. This on my tank only and can vary depending on your set up and dosing regimen.

With good parameters they do well regardless. I was target feeding some nuclear green Palys sinking pellets and they grew so much it became a problem.

Beb and sponge bob is the only thing you have that is even worth mentioning. You have utter chaos that's also nice. There I made you look better.

I have a few things that alone slaughter your whole list. Ron and I trade often.

Only hornets that are nice, you don't have. Loser
