:hail: I am envious!!! All that space behind the wall to put stuff. How big is the "fish room" behind the tank? Lots of control of the returns too I see.

Hey Bob, It was good meeting you too.. heres a few more pictures as things have developed..

Only really occupying 1/2 of my tank until I get my hands on another large rock and have time to rockscape..

2 different color lamps... (only temporary until I get back to finishing my led setup)

Got this good picture and thought I'd share it!

Color coded plumbing and valve for water changes.. Simplest waterchanges ever.. I'll later post more pics and explanation of how the system works..

this is my floor sink that still needs concrete patched around it.. but it is where my old water will go during a water change and also emergency overflows from sump, ato, and mixing tank.

Drywaller finishing fish closet just an hour ago..

I'll post more pics as soon as I get the mixing station closet hooked up..

Fish room (as it has become but was originally supposed to be a small home office and access to display tank) is 9'x12'.. The whole thing started with a Master bathroom addition and remodel of my Master bedroom where the display sits over our couch.. My wife is getting ready to kill me for not finishing the whole thing.. I've been too busy working on display tank.. Coming this week I still have to setup my refugium, and salt mixing station.. pictures coming soon.

That tank looks sick! Nice job, love the choice of molding around the tank.
Thanks, alot of planning and work has gone into this thing.. heres some new pics and updates!

I finished up the closet and mixing station, finally got water all running today..

I set up my refugium with mud, rock rubble and a temporary light until I make the led for it.

Finally did the electrical for all the equipment...

I installed an 70cfm exhaust fan that will be controlled by a thermostat to turn on whenever temperature reaches 78. For now though its simply on a rocker switch.

I just bought the 6 stage deluxe Ro/di unit from brs and set that up.. Awesome unit for the price! Also upgraded to the 150 gallon per day dual membrane. Comes with dual tds meter and filter monitor as well as dual di canisters.. Im selling my old kent marine 4stage ro/di for $100 if anyones interested btw..

got my Ro on top, salt mixing on the bottom hooked up to an iwaki pump to mix salt, then I simply turn a valve to fill the sump and im done with my waterchanges.. Takes just a few minutes to do a waterchange so im definitely loving it.

Still got a few wrinkles to iron out than I'm drywalling the room, painting and getting tile in 2 weeks hopefully.. Then I have to get back to the diy led project for this tank and time to start stocking this beast...

Really nice setup Jason. I'm jealous of your fishroom for sure. Great job on figuring out ways to make your maintenance really easy with all the switches and valves. I live in Corona...I'd love to see it in person some time ;)

Yeah you can definitely come check it out some time Robert.. I was trying to focus on rockscaping this weekend but cant seem to find large enough pieces of live rock both shelf or fiji.. probably still need 200-300 more lbs but all lfs only have smaller pieces and when I ordered my original rock from bulk reef supply it comes dry so that means another 8-12 weeks of cooking.

Anyone know where to get large live rock and what are most people doing for aquascape? I was thinking of drilling the rock and using acrylic rods to hold overhangs..
