If I didn't have so much invested in APEX gear, I would jump over to Hydros as well. The APEX gear is just low quality when you open them up. Most new reefers are already choosing Hydros.

It’s all biological filtration. Been dosing bacteria and carbon dosing. Phosphate was half of what it was last week and nitrate dropped from 3ppm

You could just buy a Hydros x4 or Launch and as your Apex stuff craps out over the course of the next year just replace it with the more affordable and reliable Hydros counterpart. Most of the add ons for hydros are under $200 and don't require an fmm to operate. Just plug them in.
