Sickk get this beauty wettt... as for the pillar I think it would make for a good medium to low light spot for certail corals... didn't see what your stocking plans are

I know...taking too **** long to get this up and running. It's gonna happen next week though for sure unless something is leaking.

I have a fish list but don't have it on me. Coral wise it'll be a mixed reef with minimal softies (mostly zoas), limited LPS (candy canes, euphyllia, duncans, and acans) and then lots of SPS (assuming I can keep it alive). I'll post up the fish wish list soon.

Aww don't be showing it until we've had a chance to get the silicone cleaned up lol. It's simple but the way you had it included a skimmer section that was too small and the baffles were wrong as they would have caused bubbles going into the return area. Hit me up when youre ready to fill it up with water.

Will do, thanks again.

I added a second coat of silicone like you told me. That's why it's all fugly right now. I'll clean it up when I get back and do a fill test. I checked all the edges and it looks like the fill test should pass with flying colors.

Just finished washing 10 out of the 25 gallons of sand I have for the tank. This is backbreaking work! 15 more to go...

^^indeed.

I needed to break the tall column...the rotary tool was taking too long...

It hurt to break such a nice piece but the break offs are pretty cool on their own. I'm going to see how I can still use them in the scape.

It was a cerameco structure. Pretty neat rock.

Here's the new config. I used a broken piece with a pot/fish crib to bridge the broken column and the other round column. And then I added the bigger pot/fish home to the bottom. It opened up the sandbed space and also created more horizontal space for mounting coral. And now the light hits the whole column as well.

10g of sand to go...ugh.

I like this design the best Omar. Good work. The sand is going to top it all off
Thanks Chris. I moved things a bit but not drastically. Thanks for the frags...they're doing well in the current tank.

Looks goods. Nice and open. Now I want to redo mine
Openness was the goal. I wanted lots of open sandbed for clams and open water for sps and fish. If I fail, I don't think it'll be because if the scape.

Good job it's coming along nicely!
Thanks for the unending hookups. Filling that 55g drum with RODI right now. And the lunar lights are perfect for this tank. Should probably also thank you again for the rock. Even broken it allows for some really cool scape.

All the sand is cleaned, whew. The last rinse was with RODI at the suggestion of many of you. Might as well right. In the end it was 20g of sand but by the time my son can hear the story for the 273rd time it'll probably be up to 220g.

Final scape submission.
