Send it back. If you wanted 20" then go for the 20". You will be pissed when you drop something in the sandbed and you have to go diving for it.

That's crazy that they messed this up. If it were me, I'd keep it and ask them for a slight refund. 25"high is totally cool. BUT...you're the one that has to LOVE it.

Btw... I believe you'll be growing out SPS...right? Once this tank gets established and takes off you'll have issues down the road with your corals reaching the top and getting all nasty on the tips growing out of the water (like mine)...so that's why I like 25"h. Mine is 22"high and if I could do it again I'd go taller. Just MHO.

Just throwing this out there and I'm pretty sure either you or Chad did this but did you measure the tank to make sure it wasn't a typo?

One more thing...I'm not up on your plans for the height of the new stand but if you plan on going any less than 40"....with a 20" tall tank you'll get real tired of bending down to look in. Again, I know because that's what I did. My stand is 36"h and my tank is 22"h. Hence the bending over to look in. Just something to think about.

With what you likely spent and considering this is a long term tank I'd suggest getting exactly what you want. Bummer.

And +1 to an actual measurement in case of a typo.

If you keep the 25" tall tank, think about the lighting as well. It'll take a lot more lighting to penetrate 25" as opposed to 20"

We measured, no typo.

Stand would be 40" tall. I'm just gunna have them rebuild it. Chad said they might take off $50. I wouldn't do it unless they knocked off $500ish. Chad said no way.

Sorry bro. really wished it was a stupid mistake like a typo cuz at least you would've had your dream tank in hand. Well I'd say sleep on it to. At least you know exactly what a 25" tall tank looks like along with the rest of your dream dimensions. Just don't let the fact it will take another 3-4 weeks to finish be your reason to settle. Take it cuz you want it.
