Just my $.02... But I just bought a 24 deep tank( against most advice) and added a DSB.. I love it! I looks humongous being so tall.. I dont mind at all using a step stool to get into it, ( esp since I'm a midget, and let's be honest, stepstools are my friend!) compared to how much I hated bending down to look into my old 18 in deep tank.. If I was building from scratch I would do a 40 in stand and and a 24 tank.. My stand is only 36 ( I'm 2nd owner) but I digress.. I'm on 'team 25!' Unless your lights need changing.. Lol that's a sore spot in my house .. Poor hubs!

yeah... the only way id take something that i didnt order was if they made it worth my wild... they would end up losing more money having to disassemble the tank and eat the shipping costs as well as labor.. it would almost be in their best interest to knock some bucks off of it.

We measured, no typo.

Stand would be 40" tall. I'm just gunna have them rebuild it. Chad said they might take off $50. I wouldn't do it unless they knocked off $500ish. Chad said no way.

How much extra volume does the 5" add? And IMO 24" is the perfect height. A tank that long needs a balance in height.

I would consider the deeper sand bed especially if u do plan on the wrasse. Have em hook you up with some sand for the mistake in sure Chad and them could work something like that out. I had a standard 240 and the 24" looked good wasn't too hard to reach in. Throw in 4" of sand and you got your 20" tank. If your stand isn't built yet you could recess the tank and hide some of the sand bed.

Wow, thats a really big F-up. Sorry that happened. $50 dollars is insulting. the depth perspective that I think you were looking for is lost with a tank that high. nothing shallow about 25''.

I was there when they were going thru this... And seeing Nick all bummed.... Ended up bumming me out even....
I asked of chad had a diamond blade for a grinder... Lol

Take the time and get that shallow tank you have wet dreams about..

I think they should take at least 50 bucks off because of the "Inconvenience"
