Looks good. PNS Probio will help get things back on track biology-wise. I had tons of cyano, but dosing it weekly took care of it after a couple weeks time. Which reminds me, I need to buy more.
That's the plan! I'm gonna order prodibo and yellow sno here soon. This cyano is about the gnarliest I've dealt with so far. Sand no biggie but this stuff will smother rocks, GHA and bryopsis. I've got a major imbalance for sure.

Always nice when something works out as planned. Ignore the bubbles, aerating heavily while treating for cyano.

I like the faint pinks and purples this gigantea has in it. I am worried it may be too small for these clowns as well. They are super aggressive with their host anemones.

So I completed my chemi-clean treatment and the tank is looking a little better.

I also picked up some Sno from Eve, with my last phyto order.

After I did my 20% water change and added carbon and skimmer cup back, I dosed that. My tank was a little murky from the die off but that really seemed to help pull some of those particles out of the water column.

Next battle is GHA/Bryopsis. I'm trying to decide how I want to go about it but I figure I'm going to go with the manual removal and brushing first. I'll brush while I siphon. Now that the cyano is gone my tangs have really been grazing like crazy, I feel like if I get it down they'll take it from there. Part of me wants to dose flux just to be sure though. Not 100% sure, open to suggestions.

FTS from today: Picture doesn't really do it much justice but I'm really liking the new layout. That right side is pretty hollow. I still need to get a lot of that stuff off the sand bed. Once I do it'll look nice and open.

My favorite new tank inhabitant: Gigantea carpet anemone, hosting my female percula. It didn't settle where I wanted but I think I figured out what it was looking for for structure and it looks pretty happy now.

At first glance it looks "tan" but it's hiding some cool colors in there!

Some areas are very tan and other areas somewhat lighter with more color, I wonder which way it's gonna color towards.

looking great man

did u finally best the metals? or did i miss an update lol
My last ICP showed 0 copper and a reduced amount of tin around 20.

I started to question whether the remaining tin level was enough to piss the coral off or if it was that I had stripped some trace elements pretty bad in the process with all the removers I was using. I ordered some moonshiner trace elements and have been correcting them. I'll say I had everything on hand but flouride and bromine. When I started dosing those I noticed a change in more polyp extension. So that has my hopes up as a contributing factor with the sps.

I finished my last correction today. I'm going to wait a week and send in another ICP. Hopefully metals will be down and I'll have an idea on where my traces are at. I dosed 80% based off what my last ICP tests showed I needed. I had done a few water changes since so I didn't want to O.D. anything. I couldn't run any absorption media during the chemi-clean treatment so I should have a good idea if something is still corroding in the system or if the tin level is still dropping.

Looking good! If you can grow some chaeto, that will help pulls some of the metals out as well. I'm loving that gig too, super nice. Now you have me rethinking my 25g lagoon. Those onyx percs would look awesome in a gig.

Thanks man!

Hopefully my chaeto starts growing. I was surprised I was still 0 phosphates right after the treatment. Thought that cyano die off would do something.

I would say hold off on the Flux treatment as I have been bouncing back and forth with Chemi Clean and Flux and now have the Dinos I get to deal with. I tried to resolve to many issues one after the other just to have one previously thought to be resolved come back when I started beating the next issue on the list. I did try to do it in a certain thought out order but when to fast treating one after the other.

Your tank looks great and is on the right path now.

The new nem is awesome. If it doesn't move it will fill that corner out nicely.
Hopefully it stays put. It would be cool to have it up front like that. My plan was to have it on the left front corner which is why I built that tonga rock elevated but it is what it is. Maybe once the green gig bounces back it will stay put there? It’s looking better now that the clowns are obsessed with the tan one.

They certainly have their choice of housing in the tank now.

Was that your Shazam-like piece that went up? I still have the frag you gave me. I’m actually going to mount it on some branch rock this weekend to give it a better place. That sucks!
