Tank looks great Brock

Also did my second dose this past weekend (digest & optim). Initially I had thought perhaps the pro(dibio) contributed to some nuisance algae I had in the display, however, after the second dose, it is now gone.......dont know if a snail got to it or it was the pro. go figure :hmmmm: I keep telling myself it was the pro

also dosed the reefbooster last weekend & it's a pita. skimmer overflowing all kinds of crazy almost a full 12 hours later. sure hope it's worth it......

I would not dose reefbooster this early. You should dose biodigest and bioptim weekly for 6 weeks first. It will take longer to reduce nutrients if you are already dosing reefbooster.

I have noticed a considerable difference in my water clarity after 2 weeks or so. Zeo is probably good, but the cost is what scared me away. For a mere $100 or so, I will be treating my tank until September 2008, using gcarrols recommended treatment schedule.

So far so good over here also. Although I have a little bit of cyano that seemed to show-up around the same time.

Good news is nitrates & phosphates have dropped to undetectable levels (on my crappy test kits anyways).

How soon after starting up a new tank is Prodibio effective. I am transitioning from a 135g to a 300g. I have all of my corals in a 75g temporary tank until the 300g is up and running. Can dosing start as soon as the initial cycle is over? Or should I wait longer?

If I understand correctly, you could do either. The Optim and digest are part of the bioclean and it will help keep the phophates and nitrates down. Why not start out clean from the beginning? I would pm gcarrol and get his opinion. He started me out with the system on how to dose. But I would think that it would be ok to start after it cycles.

Week 8 of Prodibio (2nd week of booster).. The water still seems to be very clear. I have noticed, maybe it's just my mind playing games, that the SPS have become a little more bland/pale in color. Is this just a normal phase? I did notice a drop in Calcium and Alk this past week but thats because I did not realize that my CO2 tank had run out. I got it refilled immediately. Who knows how long the tank was empty. :(

Lagger, any updates?

I like it. When I started my nitrates were like 10-15 & phosphates were 0.1ppm. Now, both are showing up undetectable, with no other changes, so I know it's working. And my skimmer pulling out some nasty gunk ;)

I haven't noticed pale colors however, actually better color, prob due to reduced nutrients.
