Filling with fresh RO water, this is going to take forever. I didn't want to use tap water for fear of lingering phosphate that soaks into the foam. I was going to run it with the closed loop for a couple weeks and let everything leech out that needs to. While it's running, I'm going to get the sump and the rest of the plumbing going.

Next after that is the led's. I was going to do an 85 led's array but I'm going to put in 100 to start. There will be room for expansion if needed.

My Tank Build
Hey Brian the build looks amazing man! Let me know when you plan on moving the tank so I can lend a helping hand.

Small update, been busy with work so not a lot of progress. I had a 110g tank in the back yard with 1/2" glass. I took the whole thing apart, cut it down to size and built an 80g sump. Definitely liked working with wood better than glass.

Haven't water tested yet going to try and do that this weekend. If that's good, just need to finish plumbing. Then I can start the cycle while I put the lighting together

Water tested the sump over the weekend and it did leak or explode so that's good. I need to build a new stand because the sump won't fit underneath the other one. Once that is done I can get everything moved in and start setting up

Thanks to everyone who offered to help. My son and his buddies were over so we just made it happen. The tank with background was about 300lbs. The foam holds the water which easily added another 50-60lbs. It sucked and 5 of us really had a hard time, especially since most of the weight is on the back

Looking good Brian. What does the fish room look like? Is the sump going to be under the tank or off to the side?
