buddythelion and hermesfansf I realize this may be a weird question but can I see some normal cell pictures of those corals as they hardly ever look like those macro shots in person. Same with all the vendors... never look like that in person... just being honest here.

Fancy pictures aren't meant to be standard. If someone took a fancy pic of my dog with a dslr or a gallant lion in national geographic I don't think it would be the same as to the naked eye. Pics are for eye googling and looking pretty. If you want irl things then come over and look... Irl. :) or buy one and look at it irl in your tank. I see macro pics as an art thing. No one really cares much for plain pics to take pics of. Maybe except FS threads. If they did then why spend money on fancy cameras?

So basically it's just for fun.

I agree but most of the time show off threads are always marketing threads... hence a vendor releasing one of your polyps today. For me like you said I'm not gonna buy unless I see in person but more often than not you get there and what do you know that doesn't look like the pic so why take them that way? Art shmart I wanna see what its gonna look like in our home aquariums... why else do we keep them? I'm not trying to start an argument its just for instance that donatello v2 , or the other at the top of the page looks so tiny and small that guaranteed it doesn't look like that in person.

Now the blue hornets, rastas, etc. yes for the most part accurate.
