SO finally plumbed the system and got a few minor leaks taken care of. The only issue really is that the reeflo hammerhead is a bit loud. the pump is on the outside of my house but I think the vibration of it is echoing through the house. I need to figure out how to make it a little quieter. Im gonna put a rubber mat under it, right now just on top of paver.I hope that takes care of it. Any other suggestions.? I'll post pics of the system soon,

thanks

Reflo makes a dampening pad for the pumps when they are on hard surfaces. I know brs sells them

So I really like the way this got plumbed...so far. I can safely drain the display in both sumps if i ever needed to do that and thats with about 500 gallons total. I depending on total rock, and sand that will go up though. The reeflo is a beast. that thing makes waves in the DT. The RO unit from brs can make 300gpd. I cant wait to get it hooked up..buidling some small sheds to cover everything and also adding a frag tank that I just got.

Nice set up.... You will need a lot heaters in the cold season since your tank is outside.

Thanks ..I got a 1000 watt jbj. I honestly thought cooling would be more of an issue. I'm still going to put insulation around sump once the sheds get built.

Since u have such a huge water volume, I think keeping it cool won't be that hard. Make sure u have enough room for a huge fan, evaporation will keep that tank pretty cool. But the really cold winter months will get pricey running a 1000w heater alllllll night. What size chiller are u using?
