Maybe someone on here would know but where can you find steel stands for that tank?

You should have a member build you a stand. I had another member build mine but he is way up north. Try ogfrenchhorn. He makes a sweet stand

Hi,

Nice start! We have a couple of steel stand builders as members should check them out in the DIY section:)

Hey guy I finally got my refugium done and home. I would like to know if any one here has painted black the walls in the middle section and if yes what paint to use. Oh and is it a good idea.

Oh yea and I got my steel tube for my stand.

I thought people were using that krylon fusion and from what I understand it doesn't harm if it's in contact with the water...correct me if I'm wrong

You might want to ask ReefHighlander or is it HighlandReefer on RC. Pm him the ingredients and info and he will reply. Randy Holmes Farley is also a brain when it comes to this. Try either one.

Personally I've only heard of people using it for out of water applications, like outer pipe painting (not in water) and back glass.

Happy Saturday!

Krylon is salt water safe and have used it for many years.....But it isn't a good idea to use in areas where it will get scratched from cleaning and such. Also the more time you give it to cure 7 to 10 day's the harder the finish gets using several light coats in lieu of 1 or 2 heavy one's:)

So you could technically paint an inside wall of your tank and it would be fine. I know no one does that but I'm just trying to get an idea how it would hold in that condition
