Well, I tried some macro shots with the 90 mm (which translates to a 135mm in my camera) macro through my bow front and I just could not get a clear focus and I was hand holding the lens. I know, I know. You are supposed to use a tripod but I assumed my hands were as stable as any darn tripod. So I picked up the 18-55 mm non-macro lens and got some cool shots of my Ultimate Rainbow acro.

And highly cropped shot, 24 megapixels lets you crop quite a bit.

Just for fun, I thought I would include the uncropped image. I actually like it the best. It is cool to see the adjoining colonies.

Could not help myself, just a few more pictures

First, ATL's Jaleen Red. I got it from the SPS Coral store some weeks ago. I do not have any real estate for it, so it is pretty darn low in the tank. Hopefully it will do well.

Followed by a wild colony, and the picture came out kind of purple/burgundy and it really is red/burgundy body. Even if the picture is not perfect, very cool acro nonetheless.

Third, is an incredibly striking wild colony that I got from Vivid a while back. It is the one that I said was all white and like $60 bucks and Dave said it was worth getting and I thought it was dead. Well I was wrong and this is one very cool acro, reddish/orange polyps and blue tips. Never ever seen anything like it. It very well may be a home run. Might even have to let Reef Raft Canada get a frag of this one. That came out a little more boastful than I wanted. oh well. Hope you like it as much as I do. It is still a mini colony. I somehow overexposed this and did not correct it, sorry it looks a little washed out.

Thank you. It is interesting and when it is a little bigger, I would love to share it.

Came home from work, decided not to work on clearing my desk and gave myself a treat: more photos, what a day and what a nice way to end the day.

Red dragon, front view

Red dragon, top down. If you look up a couple replies on this page, you can see how much the chalice below the red dragon has grown.
It has covered the reef epoxy and onto the rock.

Don't cha love it

gettin hungry, my pink lobo

pink smoothie, if you go back a couple of pages then you can see how fast this guy/girl has grown

boat load of color

jedi mind trick, what do you think of my placement. Actually it was against the back wall and I had to almost break stuff to free it. Coral are going nuts and growing like weeds.

Trying to confirm what this really is, for the time being cousin of pink lemonade is how I remember it.
