It is very noticeable with water in it. I'm pretty picky about blemishes, but this is way beyond any blemishes. Thing is, I don't want to build my reef and later have to deal with these issues. Gonna have to take care of it from the start. That's why I've been kinda stalled here.
Tagging along... I met you today with Jorge (speargunhunter)!

Lights please... Since its an inwall, I wasn't too worried about having a sexy light fixture. There's so many options out there and I wanted to incorporate different technologies in my lighting to benefit from the strengths of each. I've always been a MH guy but decided on a T5/LED combo this time. Plans are for 7x 80w T5 and two BuildMyLED actinic strips, with two Kessils for shimmer. Here's the light rack build from 8020 aluminum materials...

This aluminum railing is fairly easy to work with, just got to have a good design and measurements before you order the material.

Decided to keep the stained tank? If so, I can't even tell from your pics
Really wanted to order a new tank but I decided to hold off for now. The long side is clean, and the short side is well... short. New tank is very expensive for one, but there were other reasons. Its taken a lot of fruitless labor to get to this point and I didn't want to have to delay the build at this point because I may have lost my drive. Also, the family was really excited to choose their fish and see them in the tank. Telling them they would have to wait another 2 months probably would have put me on the **** list. So I decided to build on, and upgrade glass later.

A great reefer also told me..." it doesn't matter what's on the outside, it's what's inside the tank that matters."

You might be right Lawrence...She is a bit lonely in the tank as all the other fish are pretty small... Perhaps she will have a partner later...
