For what its worth, I actually have pretty good luck with them. I really think mostly all lfs livestock are the same. Tongs is just slower in removing their k.i.a fish. You just need to be vigilant in examining the fish, regardless of the store, before you take it home. Actually, tongs is the only lfs I know of that regularly stocks rarer fish.

Yes, same here. I only have a little problem with their customer service. They make money so they don't butter up the customer service, I guess. Most of the time they are nice, btw. I've stopped going to Tong's since I found SCR and RC. However, that's mainly because they are not near my places I go to and stay. I got Coral Gazers and aChanceOfCoral for that.

I would recommend against getting fish there but I guess it is only my opinion. Any stores can get you the rarer fish if you so desire and I'm sure they woul be in better health

my luck with tongs fish are 50/50, but it's the only store around here that has more collections of saltwater fish.

I don't get the hate for tongs. Never had a problem with their fish, corals, or customer service. If i need help I'll ask for it. When I ask, they help. If they don't come up to you, who cares. IMO, they are one of the better stocked lfs with a variety of stuff. A little more expensive though. Haven't been there in a while.

Must be doing something right. going to drop by, always like seeing what they have on hand.

Tongs has a good selection, have to just find the diamonds in the rough. Some stuff priced fairly, other stuff a bit pricey. I did get a nice peacock mantis from them that has been doing great ever since.

I like their store. when I was a newb I would walk around and look at everything. Then I started buying fish. Every fish has died and I finally gave up when she told me they keep their salinity at 1.020. You really need to acclimate fish for such a long time.
