Finally change my under size sump to 120 gallon sump

Prepared for my vacation. Wrote my mother in law instructions. Changed 15 gallons. Added a reservoir to the skimmer cup. Filled the rodi res. Cleaned the glass. Drilled a hole in each return lock line (should have done this long ago).

Compared rodi tds reader on the exit versus my Hanna. The Rodi thing is off by eight. At 8 tds on the Hanna the Exit water was reading 0 on the Rodi tds reader.I'm reading 1 Tds do I can live with that.

Don't trust those inline readers. I'm gonna change my filters out next go around. Been super lazy. They lasted a good 5 months.

Today i ordered 10 sch80 bulkheads from Savko Plastic Pipe & Fittings. I am not comfortable with using these cheap one's for my close loop, and their hole size is close to standard bulkhead.:a43:

Emptied pooh cup and did a 15 gallon WC. Picked up a bunch of coral it's side. Stupid snails.

Installed the salinity probe again after getting tweaked by Neptunes. It's spot on now. Guess they have a glitch and now have the resolution, but....you have to send it in.

Tested for phosphate: .03-.01 reading. Hooray, the GFO is working
Tested for Nitrates: 10-15ppm reading. Boo, need the DSB and chaeto to start doing its job.

Cyano still rearing its ugly head- any suggestions???

My diagnosis is that since I used some sand from my old tank, its leaching into the system, but this is just a guess as most of the cyano is found on the sand bed and some of the live rock that was transferred from the old tank.
