Interesting. This is the second time I'm running biopellets and my nitrates are nearly zero, but I have to control phosphates with gfo. Had I known the all-in-one pellets controlled phosphates too, I would have started with that. Oh well, never too late for a change.

Hmmm I've not heard of all in one pellets. I'd like to try them since I deal with the same issue having po4 left

Ever since I started pellets, I've never had PO4 issues and I've been using ecobak. I wonder if it depends on what type of pellet you're using?

Do you also run a reactor that's developed for pellets, or a modified one (example tlf)?

Also would pellets be wise in a heavily stocked tank with mainly lps/softies/nems/clams and only and few sticks?

bio pellets just help promote bacterial growth. There is not way to make it produce more nitrate or phosphate consuming bacteria. It kind of just produces what it produces. It tends to typically produce the nitrate consuming kind. The common ratio is 4 to 1 (nitrate to phosphate).

I'm using the aquamaxx reactor and I like it a lot.
For your 2nd question, as long as you have fish, your tank is a candidate for bp. I would test your NO3 first to mark sure it's not low already. Also, a skimmer is required to bp as well

Those pellets don't work any better than other pellets. Buying them will not make your tank look any better than it looks with any other type of biopellet. Here is the same guy's tank using the original NP biopellets. No magic here, just a good reefer!
