Well I think drexel was right about Tin coming from the new tank itself. I should have wiped down all surfaces when I test filled it then drained it. From what I'm reading not a lot removes tin so I'm going to be doing water changes going forward.
I'm not sure on the copper and zinc yet. Some of the colonies were very large and hard to remove from the rock. I had to get in there with a hammer and chisel, also used a multitool at one point and my bone cutters have some rust on them. I checked all equipment for missing teeth or piece of themselves but maybe something got by, not 100% sure there.
My other thought is the cheap Jebao return I've been running up to this point. I planned on swapping to my m1 or a RO varios 8 but haven't got around to swapping it yet. It looked fine when I placed it in there, I ran it on my 180g for a while too.
